Documentaire over de legendarische muzikant / performance kunstenaar Genesis P Orridge en het ultieme streven naar 'pandrogynie'.

worden.

Spetterende gevechtsfilm over een travestiete kapper die transformeert tot actieheld, om Capital City van de homofobe ondergang te redden. Echt waar, genieten!
Alle films zijn in het Engels of Engels ondertiteld.

Na de film “Man for a Day” komt Drag King pionier Diane Torr als onze speciale gast. Ze zal de film en haar werk toelichten in het nagesprek. Een unieke blik achter de schermen.
De film ging in februari tijdens de de Berlinale in premiere.

THE BALLAD OF GENESIS AND LADY JAYE

An intimate portrait of one of the most radical avant-garde artists and romantic couples of the 20th and 21st century. The Britisch performance artist and musical pioneer Genesis P-Orridge, know in the 70's and 80's as the frontman of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, started together with their partner Lady Jaye († 2007) on their Pandrogender-manifest in 2000: to eventually melt together on physical, spiritual and inner level and become one living art piece. Director Marie Losier's striking depiction of the couple's transformation and her ability to invigorate their fascinating and bizarre adventure, using experimental film techniques, ecstatic visual language, re-enactments, home videos and archive footage. She won a Teddy Award and a Caligari Award during Berlinale 2011.
REGRETTERS & I STILL LOVE THEM

A heartwarming documentary about two people who traveled between genders. "Do you really have to be man or woman? Can't you just be yourself?" In a dialogue the two tell their stories. Both were born as men, had operations and lived as women for years. One of them wants to return to his male sex and gender, the other already had a reverse operation and decided to live 'in between'. Won many prizes on international festivals. And rightfully!
With pre-film: I Still Love Them: A glance in the heart of a 79 year old transgender, touching upon themes such as identity, sex, death, love and aging.

A smashing combat film about a transvestite hairdresser who transforms into an action hero, to save Capital City from it's homophobic doom. Dazzling, really!
