Crispy five spice tofu and rice noodles
Ingredients
500 gms firm tofu
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp five spice powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
salt and pepper
2 cups breadcrumbs
1 cup milk
I packet of rice noodles
Oil for frying
Dipping sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp ginger
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Directions
Remove excess moisture from tofu with paper towel
mix flour, chilli powder, s & p on a plate
breadcrumbs on a plate
milk in a bowl
Cut tofu into cubes, dip in flour, milk, then breadcrumbs
Heat oil in a pan
Cook quickly on all sides, then remove and drain
Pour hot water over rice noodles and leave for a few minutes then drain
Serve tofu over noodles with dipping sauce and a salad
