A bit of a beat-up and that AI voice is dreadful. Parramatta is taking off well, considering a lot of supporting activity is still under construction and Newcastle patronage is always going to be flat until it's extended.


There are always plenty of naysayers around.

Here is the 15-year statistical breakdown of the patronage of all of Sydney's modes to EOFY June 2025. Light rail is healthy. While these are all, bar trains, metropolitan figures, note that the train figure includes interurban, so the metropolitan figure for trains is about 25-28 million a year less than that total figure.
