Buses replace Frankston trains between Parliament and Caulfield, also Parliament - Sandringham, until the last train of Sunday 11 January (works).
6.54 Craigieburn line: Buses to replace trains between Essendon and Broadmeadows (a track fault), eta over 60 min. Essendon trains have delays.
- 7.41 Buses are in operation, adding 45 min.
- 7.48 Trains are resuming. First: delayed 5.57 ex Flinders St; 7.35 ex Craigieburn.
14.08 Major delays (a trespasser in the Frankston area). Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations, or may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 15.06 Buses to replace trains between Frankston and Carrum (police demand), ETA 45 min. Caulfield - Carrum trains have delays.
- 15.19 Buses are in operation, adding 30 min.
- 17.01 Trains are resuming. First: 16.15 ex Caulfield; 17.08 ex Frankston.
- Once it became apparent this was a very serious and delicate situation which had the potential to drag on throughout the afternoon, info to this effect really should have been added to the alert details. The lack of detail was hugely frustrating.
16.23 East Pakenham / Cranbourne lines: Major delays (an equipment fault and an 'operational incident' in the South Yarra area). Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations, may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 17.08 Clearing.
- you have the big bash derby and an a league game and only one operating train line after caulfield. seriously poor planning.
- What a joke, unbelievable.
- It’s shameful that train fares keep increasing while maintenance is never up to date. It’s disrespectful to the people who pay.
Buses replace trains between Newport and Werribee from 23.00 until 2.00 Sun.11.1 (works), then between North Melbourne and Werribee/Williamstown 2.00-6.00.
