Just an everyday pic in Richmond

My travels took me along Bridge Rd in Richmond yesterday and I grabbed a
pic on this wide but rather nondescript thoroughfare.

Trams have been running along this stretch of track since the opening of
Melbourne's first cable tramway just over 138 years ago.

Not entirely nondescript.

An interesting feature in Mal’s pic is the awning supported by kerbside pillars on the left, something mostly eliminated by the use of cantilevered awnings, or the removal of awnings entirely, as on the other side of the street.
