920 loks to me to be showing 5A in the destination box, what was the 5A destination?
It was Wattletree Rd to City according to a list I have.
So probably on the way back to Malvern depot as your second post suggests.

Gentlemen
The photo also shows the destination signs as used prior to the 1955 route rationalisation.
The 64 is clearly “East Brighton” and note “East Malvern” for route 5.
Enthusiasts from the era who’d have first hand knowledge of all this must be few on the ground in 2026?
