9.03 The first train from East Pakenham to travel through the new tunnel with passengers has departed.
- 9.08 Is the train going to be too full for me to get on at Town Hall?
- 9.30 The first train scheduled via the tunnel has departed from Sunbury, and is due at Arden at 10.09.
11.37 Buses to replace trains via Altona (emergency services attending to a 'serious incident'), eta 60 min.  All trains run direct to and from Laverton, over single line past grade-separation work.  [This affected Steamrail Laverton shuttles too].
- 12.10 Buses are in operation, adding 40 min.
- 15.53 Trains are resuming.  First: 15.29 ex Flinders St.
Mernda/Hurstbridge lines: All trains run direct to/from Flinders St from 17.30 until the last train (emergency works).
- 18.30 Were the works cancelled?  We're heading to Southern Cross.
18.21 East Pakenham / Cranbourne lines: Major delays (police request in the Lynbrook area).  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.  [How did this affect Pakenham?].
