Photos of W6.992, now at St Louis de Montfort School, Aspendale.

Tram is largely intact, with trucks but with only one trolley base.  Bolts at other end look like this tram had a pantograph.

Side views are from pedestrian path running between school and houses, connecting Dolphin St to the Long Beach Trail.  Hard to get good side-on photos as there are two fences between the path and the tram.  End-on views are from school car park, accessible from Dolphin St.

Thanks for the photos, Alan.

The tram really needs to be put under a shelter I think. It won’t last out in the open I suspect.

As one of the 55 trams upgraded with improved braking etc 992 also has a fibre glass roof.

That means it is pretty well protected from the rot problem of canvas and wood cob=nstruction.

The people who have fixed up 992 (I think mainly parents of the school kids) have done a great job.

I attach a pic of what 992 looked like when leaving Newport.

Mal Rowe - who had a small role in supporting the project.
