Of course all this is equivalent to rearranging the deck chairs on the Tom Thumb. The total patronage of Metro Tasmania's buses between its three cities of operation is about equivalent to that of Sydney's 333 bus route to Bondi Beach. Public Transport use in Tasmania is virtually non-existent and I don't know what it would take to revive a pattern of using public transport again.
