Hi Dan,

Can you tell me if there is any documentation outlining the steps required by a Trams Back Office Owner/Agency to allow remote query access to a hosted remote application using the TramsAppServer API (e.g. IP address/port, User Profile, login, permissions, etc...)?

I am new to Trams API development and all of our potential customers will be hosting their own Trams databases, while our query application will be hosted remotely.

I have been reading through quite a bit of documentation, but can't seem to find anything that specifically addresses this scenario.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Hi Randy,

So, currently, remote access for TBO goes over TCP port 211 which you can't run over the public internet, so you'd need a VPN connection from the client to the server.  It works pretty well even over a slow connection.

Here's a link to the section of the TBO help that describes how to set up:

You can also contact our tech desk for assistance.
