I have a Dell Latitude E7240 Ultrabook that I have had for around 5 years now, despite it's age it has been running very smoothly not long ago (about 2 weeks). But as of today, I've tried booting it up and it simply won't. When I press the on button, the power light comes on for less than a second before it turns off while the WiFi light/network light (next to the battery light) flickers dimly, continuously until I pull the battery and/or AC charger out. No other lights do anything, nor does the screen or any fans (from what I can hear). The same thing happens irrespective of whether I have laptop with the battery and charger, without the charger and just the battery and with just the charger and no battery)
Beginning from fully depowered state (rechargeable battery removed and A/C charger unplugged), the following behaviour was seen when powering the notebook (either via battery, A/C charger or docking station):
I followed your instructions and disconnected the CMOS battery. I also checked the voltage: Disconnected it was at about 2.7 V, but with little load the voltage went down to 0 V. So I also replaced the battery with a CR2032.

I first heard about Hoya sp. GPS 7240 a few years before Joni at SRQ Hoyas went out of business. I tried to obtain it from her, but she was out every time I tried to order it. I forgot about it for a couple of years and then saw it listed on AH Hoyas website and ordered it to fill out a 12 plant order. I received the small plant from AH in 2016, and it grew with many stops and starts. I was intrigued by this species because the flowers looked much the same as Hoya sigillatis, but promised to be easier to cultivate
While I did find it slightly easier than growing Hoya sigillatis, it was still no walk in the park. I managed to flower this plant for the first time at about 2 years of age. After flowering it a few times I offered it for cuttings during one of my spring cutting sales. Unfortunately I sold to much of it, and the cutting that I had left did not survive. This is something that I am much more cognizant of now as it has happened to me a few times. Always make sure that you have enough of the plant left to guard against loss.
