Hello Friends and Teammates!

I'm emailing you all to gush about one of my favorite nonprofits, and to ask if you'll join me in supporting them.

Many of you are familiar with the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC), and a few of you yourselves are involved in some way, shape, or form with them.  Years ago, MTPC offered me the stepping stones I needed to make my way back into the nonprofit sector after a couple years of slinging coffee and having no luck in the job market.  My personal investment with MTPC stems from this, but does not stop there.  For the last four years in my role at BAGLY, I have continued to work with them, and can speak to the hard work and dedication they put into making Massachusetts a safe place for transgender folks.  I am proud to invest my time and money in MTPC, because of their tireless advocacy for policies and legislation that directly impacts the lives of all us across the state.

Here in Massachusetts, MTPC has continuously been a leader in the fight for transgender rights and protections.  In this past year especially, they have continued to be that leader in defending our recently hard fought protections.

In 2016 non-discrimination protections were finally put in place for transgender people in places of public accommodations.  Immediately following, opposition groups gathered enough signatures to place a question on the ballot this November that could effectively rollback and strip these protections.  MTPC has been an intricate part in leading the coalition that has been working to make sure we uphold these protections against a ballot initiative that will have national implications.

On Thursday May 24th, professionals from every sector will be gathering to support trans rights, and I would like to invite you all to join us.

Professional for Transgender Rights is MTPC's yearly fundraiser, and this year, we especially need all you to come out and support the very necessary and important work of the organization.

The Details:
