Hey Trailstormers,
It's a team tradition to march together, in uniform, with MTPC in the Boston Pride parade. Pride is just over two weeks away, so I wanted to gauge interest. Last year I was the only Trailstormer to march in uniform, and I'd rather not repeat that. I know a lot of us have other commitments, but if no one else is going to march with the team, I'll wear a shirt that isn't dark blue and spend less time slowly boiling to death.
When we march as a team, even if there's only a few of us, it tends to be a lot of fun and feels (at least to me) like another way to cement a team feeling among all the Trailstormers, and remind everyone (and ourselves) why we exist. And we always get recognized and cheered by assorted players from other teams. :)
Obviously no hard feelings if you can't or don't want to march, or have a commitment to march with someone other than MTPC. But I'd love to hear from everyone and see if marching as Trailstormers is going to happen this year or if I should make other wardrobe plans.
A map of the parade route is at
http://www.bostonpride.org/parade/ . If we start as far back as we usually do, it'll be about 2.8 miles; if we start near the front, it'll be about 2.4 miles. If that's not doable for you, you can also join up with us by the State House and do the last quarter mile downhill to Government Center, with a sea of queers cheering you like a rock star. :D
Ballz,
Michael
