Hi, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how TR works. My
situation is this: I'm a bicyclist and I have an iPhone which I use
for tracking GPS information (using a custom pre-release application)
and I also have a ForeRunner 50 for tracking heart rate information.
The iPhone application will generate a .gpx file with GPS info and
then Garmin Connect will spit out a .tcx with heartrate information.
I've been trying to import both into TR with the hope that I can get a
merged view of my workout showing my route on the map along with my
heartrate information.

What I've been trying to do is first import the .gpx file which seems
to go fine. Then I import the .tcx file and that seems to get
imported but the timestamp is wrong. For example, this morning I did
a ride starting at about 8:00 AM Pacific time. The gpx file imported
and shows up with a start time of 8:07 AM. When I import the .tcx
file it shows up with a timestamp of 4:06 PM (yes, I started my garmin
about a minute earlier).

Is there any way to merge the information from these two files so that
I can get a combined view of what is conceptually the same workout?
And is the time issue for the .tcx file a known bug?

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no possibility in TrailRunner to merge workouts like you describe. But I'll put you on vote for this feature request. Regarding the time lag one of the files might contain the wrong time-zone. Please check if both devices are configured to be within the same timezone.

cheers,
- berbie.
