Nike+ iPhone import

I've been using TrailRunner with GPS workouts collected with MotionX-
GPS on my iPhone 3GS, exporting those to gpx files then importing them
to TR. Works pretty well, but GPS won't work indoors on a treadmill
at the gym, so I picked up a Nike+. I'm pretty impressed with it and
think I might use it more frequently than originally intended. Here
are my questions:

- On the iPhone I can't seem to import directly, but have to get the
info from nikeplus.com. Is that correct? When I tried to download
direct it said to put into disk mode, which I don't think an iPhone
can do.

- After import, it looks like it only got the Distance, Duration,
kCals, Pace, Speed, but not the timeline details. Is that because the
timeline only shows when there is a route attached to it? It'd be
nice to see how my run progressed in TR rather than having to go to
nikeplus.com

- Since N+ seems to run in the background, if I run with N+ and my GPS
on as well, what would the steps be to import and merge the data?
Import GPS to get Route, then import N+ and choose that just imported
route? Would that double up the workouts or is TR smart enough to
know they are the same workout?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you must go via nikeplus.

TrailRunner does not display data over time, only data over distance.
That's a fundamental descign decision in TrailRunner as it's an
application primarily for route planning and journaling. So you need a
route to merge your workout data with.

Yes, you first import a route only -- skipping the add to diary option.
Then you import your workout and you select the route as a geographic
merge.
