Has anyone raced 24 hours of Leadville before?

Altitude training is a necessity. Your already at 10,000 ft. Raced the silver rush a few years ago. Could have used a aqualung...Acclimate yourself as much as possible.
Did the 24hr of winter park. Brutal...but fun.

Awesome. Winter park used to do the 24hr thing. I did hear through the channels they may be bringing it back this year.

What do you mean pace jillsuarezco?  Were you on the course last year during the race?  Did you just hope on later in the race?  I raced last year and the first 25 miles really sucked becuase there were so many people, but I didn't see anyone without a race plate?  Once it opened up I could see it would be feasible for a non racer on the course, but I didn't see any...I finish in 9h 41, but didn't see anyone non racers at any point.  I am not racing this year (doing Breck Epic), but wouldn't mind pacing people if it was legal and didn't get in the way of other folks.
