Chuck Hazzard, Sorry for the late reply! Still figuring out this here forum and need to remember to check up. The 30K snowshoe was one lap with one aid station midway. So the 60K was two laps of the same course. Skiers go out before snowshoes so the trails are partially packed but mostly not groomed. There was one section maybe a mile or so of actual packed snowmobile trail. Mostly ungroomed trail though. The second loop of the 60K was a bit easier because everyone had already been around once. The way last winter was there was so much friggin' snow out there it was amazing! Difficult, fun and amazing! You'd like it :)

There is an aid station at the start also with a fire pit, hot foods, soups, beer, bathrooms, shelter and a bunch of wild people having a blast.
