Just wondering if you guys take new runners, I am getting into
distance running I have completed the Boston and a lot of 10k and
5ks. Next year i will be doing the Boston and the Pineland
Challenge. I\m not you typical runner pretty big guy, I can go far
but not fast. Just wondering. Plus I live on Blackstrap with access
to a bunch of trails from my house. Potentiality a park spot.

Thanks
Durf

We always welcome new runners. Only requirement is that you run with us occasionally. Regular runs are Tuesday nights at 6PM at Twin Brook in Cumberland or Saturday mornings at a location near you (could be anywhere but Ian usually posts the location here and on his trailmonsterrunning blog.

Just wanted to extend a welcome as well. Jeff's right, just show up
and run with us. Hope to see you out on the trails sometime soon.

Welcome Durf. To expand on what the others have said, anyone is
welcome to join us for any of our group runs. For official membership
you can choose one (or both) of the following qualifying standards:

1- The brook crossing at Twin Brook (see the video)
http://trailmonsterrunning.blogspot.com/2009/07/tmr-tnr.html
2- Eat a maple glazed donut with bacon on top

Erin did the brook crossing as recently as last week during a run at
Twin Brooks. She wanted to run the trails on that side of the parking
lot but didn't want to just come right back out so she figured she'd
cross over to the other side. Not so sure she'd get the other ladies
she's been bringing to still do the crossing now that the sun isn't up
when they go through anymore...heheh.
