Muzzleloader Season

A reminder that while rifle/shotgun season ends after today, muzzleloader season begins and will last for two weeks. The final day is Saturday, December 12th. 

Keep the orange on and your eyes peeled. If you know an area is heavily hunted, I'd still avoid it.

Yep, and don't assume Pineland is safe. On the Oakhill side - hunters come up from the tracks. I still wear my blaze out there and especially back by the yurt area.

There have been hunters seen out there even though there are signs posted.

I was on Governor McKernan's legal team when the muzzleloader season was extended.  Sadly, this issue tied up the legislature far longer than the budget discussions which crashed and burned and eventually led to the shutdown of the State. Only in Maine.
