[VOTE] RELEASE-1.6.0-RC1

Hello All,

I've prepared a release for v1.6.0 (RC1)

Changes since 1.5.1:

This time around we have no artifacts because building out of the source tarball is not complete, and we are not distributing RPM's to be voted upon anymore. There will be convenience RPM's for download still. You will need to check out the git tag and build from there following the instructions in the build directory.

This corresponds to git:

Hash: 4c59cefc2bc67a29b2d5aa67d6ea17147bf2605c

Tag: RELEASE-1.6.0-RC1

Which can be verified with the following:

git tag -v RELEASE-1.6.0-RC1

My code signing key is available here:

Make sure you refresh from a key server to get all relevant signatures.

The vote is open until Friday July 8th, 2016.
