After upgrading to 8, the menu bar icon did not appear (the 8 icon, not the old 7 one, and yes I checked preferences to ensure it was enabled). So I rebooted, and it appeared, but then went away again. So I launched 1Password, and it appeared, but then when I quit, it disappeared, and now won't return, even after launching 1Password. Any suggestions?

Then try to close the main window by clicking on the red close icon in the upper left corner of the window. Does the 1Password icon stay in the menubar? If it doesn't then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

@Dave_1P I had tried unchecking, and then re-checking, the "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" option, to no avail. However, it turns out the issue was lack of space in the menu bar, which surprised me for two reasons:

I use Bartender to shift some items out of the menu bar. You might want to consider something like that if space is a concern. There may be other apps that can do this, but it is the one I use on my devices. I appreciate you letting us know this was resolved.

@ag_tommy I had some items in both the control center and separately in the menu bar (Wifi, battery, etc.). I just confined them to the control center only, which functions as a built in Bartender, of sorts.

This is what my header looks like, the menu itself is the reusable header. The header itself I have set to a floating element set to top left, the Menu itself is a floating group, I just set it inside the header.

I was doing some playing around, and found that a group focus does great as well,. The group focus you can have hidden on page load, still have the work flow to show the menu, but when the user clicks on the page other than the menu itself, the menu closes. I like that option with the group just in case the user opened the menu, and changed their mind. It has the function just like most menus on computer programs.

Question: How can I make sure that once the icon is hovered, a clickable element appears on the right side, next to the icon? Just like how the bubble tool box is placed next to the icons on the sidebar menu.

I am tring to create an icon for menu in IC6. Problem is, when I import the png file the icon comes as too small. The icon I have is of 361 X 233 pixels. I am using hiLoadIconFile( ".PNG" 48 8 ). But the size seems to have no change with respect to width & hight.

List representing an icon menu item. The icon occupies the icon area on the left of the menu item, and the text (specified in t_menuItemText) is displayed alongside. Menu icons can only be 16x16 pixels in size. If the icon is larger than 16x16 pixels, it will be shrunk (which is why only 16x16 icons are recommended for the menu items). See Specifying Icons for hi Functions in Chapter 7 for information about how to specify an icon as an argument.

Generally, I'm happy with Start 11. I'm not a fan of Windows 11's approach to the start menu, so I'm using Start11 to emulate the Windows 10 approach. However, I'd like to tweak the icons. The "small" button size is fine, but the icon within the button is tiny. If I make the button larger, the icon grows slightly in size, but represents even less of the button's area. There's too much gray space for my liking.

If Ring is going to use any Red dots, Red badges, Red number icons, etc., it should be for the benefit of the user. For example, warning the user that there is a problem with one or more hardware devices. These tactics should NEVER be used in an attempt to trick users into viewing/acknowledging marketing/advertising (or punishing users for refusing to do so).

me too, I've unistalled the SAV from my Mavericks (was shown it was successful), but the icon is still in the menu bar and when I click on it it does show the pull-down menu, and the SAV has updated itself after I removed it.

I used Remove Sophos and it said it was successfull but the package was still running after a reboot and the icon was still in the menu bar. I used Easyfind as suggested and deleted everything that it found but the icon stubbornly stays in the menu bar. The drop down menu from the icon is still there but none of the functions appear to do anything. Activity monitor shows the following even after a reboot: (the *** replace my name)

2. Right align
Nom nom negative top left corner I would say. The right align has several issues.
Displaying the icon and text when the button is too small to normally display everything.

3. Center with menu icon
The icon menu icon gets included in the width calculation. The push to the left should only happen when there is inssufficient space to diplay the complete text.

I noticed this too. The 1st generation Airpods Pro do show the correct icon on my (same) Mac. Also, I experience a lot of drop outs with the Pro 2's and I just got the message to replace my battery on the right Airpod. I really want to love my second gen, but I'm not selling my perfect gen 1's.... Is. there an Apple reply on the icon issue? Is there an update pending? And are there people who do get the correct icon with their Gen 2 Airpods? Does it have something to do with having an M1 chip or Intel? (My Mac is still an Intel)...

mate > panel > menubar add my requested file name without and with or without path: Mein Menu icon does not change (that is the one with the little arrow on top). I use the Numix Circle Icon set, and want to have an icon from the very same set. Do not understand, because i did it once, and it worked

If you change it here I believe it changes Controls, Window Border and Icons, maybe even mouse pointer. So probably it will load a different icon set and consequently Brisk Menu's icon will also change.

I always use Custom theme and customize everything by hand, specially because most items are not complete and are only gtk window borders or only icons. So it's better to customize so you can choose each one you wanna use. In example at the moment I'm using Marcha-dark-aliz for Controls, Ambient-MATE for Window Border and Obsidian-Gray for Icons.
Got them all here: -look.org/

Yes. I do not use the Brisk menu usually and noticed this today when testing things: with my Gtk theme (a Numix variant), the Brisk menu displays the GNOME (foot) logo and I still use the Ambiant-MATE icon theme. I switch back to the Ambiant-MATE Gtk theme and I got the MATE logo back on the Brisk menu.

Could anyone help with script or code for changing the hamburger menu, to a different fa-icon. I know that the one used at the moment is fa-bars, but despite my best valiant efforts I have been unable to work out how to change it to something else.

I support a small team of app developers and our testers. In last 4-6 months I have run into 3 users with a funnel filter icon in top right (first photo) instead of the All drop down menu (second photo). I cannot find a setting or update that makes this change to the App Library View.

A recent tester who I believe was not clicking on the icon properly could not get to unknown sources and it's hard to troubleshoot if I do not have at least one headset with same view just in case something changes in the dropdown. I tried factory resetting and updating. Anyone seen this? Was it a setting change somewhere?

I'm designing a mobile version of an Experience Builder app and have an expandable menu at the top of the screen. Is there a way to change the color of the X icon that closes the menu? I have a dark background and the black X is very hard to see:

How do we remove the icon in question? The unexpected alteration in the user interface has caused discomfort among our clients. We do not have HCO and would run into security issues using platform connect. We would much rather not have this icon present.

Despite the small box size being 50x50 pixels, the icon in it is only 24x24 resolution. And when you have a medium box (100x100 pixels), the icon does move to 32x32 resolution, but even that is pretty silly, considering these icons (even most of the built-in ones) have higher-resolution image sizes - often up to 128x128 or 256x256.

I haven't bothered making it work for batches of links so it's one at a time, although that wouldn't be a problem. Currently the link must point to an EXE, containing the icon. Also some links, such as Adobe Reader XI seem to not have a valid target in the shortcut, just Adobe Reader XI, so I have no idea how they work and I haven't spent the time trying to make it do so. Finally, for reasons I can't explain at the moment, Firefox seems to override this setting, it actually has a different background colour to all my 'default' pinned shortcuts. I'm not sure how it's doing this, so it doesn't work for it.

This free app allows the the user to select an icon from the target application's DLL library, or assign a custom image, and resize the icon (not the tile) to any size desired. In addition to the basic EXE link tiles, Under 'Utilities', users can create & customize Tiles for:

I get what you mean, app structure has different options than server actions which again have different options than the action steps them self. And then there is the file manager which already has a normal menu integrated. I could think of some sort of keyboard shortcuts as appropriate replacement.
