Hi! Could someone give me instructions on how to whitelist a particular website on Android (I use Chrome as my browser in case that matters)? I need to whitelist Panera because I have their free coffee subscription, but can't apply it with adguard running. I've just been switching adguard off before ordering but it would be nice to avoid that extra step.

For the past few weeks the Adguard Android app keeps apps (banking app, news app, websites sometimes... basically all the apps that need an internet connection) from loading. This behavior happens to everyone in my family on their mobile devices (all androids). As soon as I disable Adguard the apps load, but when I then enable it again the apps give error messages.

And blocking in the IMDb android app has been unreliable over the last year or so, but it would always fix itself somehow. Lately, I've been inundated with ads, up to five or six per screen, making the app unpleasant to use.

does anybody knows how I could block tiktok app in android phone? In the filters blocked services If turn on tiktok it blocks access only for laptops. The same if I add the domain in Custom filtering rules. (tiktok.com^)

I tried also with roblox. I added in the custom list roblox.com^ and disable the epic games in the blocked services which stopped the access to the laptop and android phone. (I am not sure which one helped and if even roblox belongs to epic games I was just testing few things)
Tomorrow I will try to see which one is doing the job but it somehow it worked.

@OzGav
Would you be so kind and detail the settings? I input my adguard server IP in both DNS fields of the ssid that I am using at home but it does not work. Also the phone has a static IP and it is configured as a client in adguard.

Is this the ad blocker you are using? =com.adguard.android.conten... If so, it says in the description that it only works with Yandex.browser and Samsung Internet browser. So Firefox and Chrome would not be protected by this app.

Hi, I'm trying to install a certificate to use adguard with Firefox for Android (a .crt file) , but it will not work. It always says that it failed to install. Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I try to use adguard with Firefox for Android.

Hello, I use a Galaxy android phone and im usually using a private DNS when it comes to networking. It works with sky but for some reason now that I started using virgin media as my new provider. It says internet not connected private dns cant be accessed. So for the internet To work I have to turn off the private DNS. Is there a way to have this resolved? So that i can use the broadband and have the private DNS working. The DNS that i use is: dns.adguard.com and it blocks pop ups and ads. Now that i cant use it, im getting them now.

Hello,

Using a Hub 3 in Router mode, I have just changed my Samsung phone's private DNS from dns.google to dns.adguard.com and both are working fine.

Using a web browser to visit DNS Leak Test, the standard test shows dns.adguard.com is working. ( do this test to see the DNS in use )

Note: Chrome on android permits setting of a secure DNS E.g. 8.8.8.8 that would override the Private DNS settings.

Which VM Hub do you have ?
Is the Hub in Router mode ( i.e. has WiFi enabled ) or in in Modem mode ?

So a Hub 5 Router mode, DNS interception by the Hub 5 has been seen before and the effect was that DNS lookups just timed out.

In the Chrome browser's settings navigation is ... "..." >>> Settings >>> Privacy and security >>> Use secure DNS. It is possible to set a DNS just for the Chrome browser such as OpenDNS / Google(Public DNS)/etc. Selecting a DNS here for Chrome overrides any PrivateDNS settings but just for Chrome.

Is the internet also working or not working when the android Private DNS is set to : dns.google ? ( in place of dns.adguard.com )

Does your Virgin Media account have Child Safe enabled ?

To change the DNS, go to Settings > Network and Internet > Advanced > Private DNS. Choose the option Private DNS Provider Hostname, and enter dns.adguard.com or one.one.one.one, and hit Save. That's it. You'll no longer see any in-app ad banners, nor any advertisements on web browsers.

This app is great. Ive recommended it to friends and they are very happy with the easy setup. It basically gets the most out of an android phone, privacy and security wise. Nothing else needed in that regard.
