The possibilities are almost endless in The Sims 4 for how players want their Sims to live. They can experience unique jobs, life events, and relationships while building their Sims' lifestyles and personalities
Skills are essential for Sim's hobbies, jobs, goals, and certain storytelling elements. While Skills can be increased through gameplay in The Sims 4, players can also use cheats and mods to speed up the process. This guide has all the Skill cheats available in every Sims 4 DLC pack.
Updated on July 26, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: Cheats are one of the most useful features in The Sims 4, especially skill cheats. As Sims level up, it takes longer and longer to reach the next level, and sometimes gamers just don't want to waste hours working on a skill so they can master it. The Lovestruck expansion pack introduced the Romance Skill to The Sims 4, and this guide now includes the cheat that fans have to input to instantly reach Level 10.
Increasing Skills is an important aspect of The Sims 4 for many reasons. Sims with high skills sometimes get unique social interactions and have more options for higher-paying jobs. Alternatively, some Skills are related to crafting, so they can make valuable paintings, songs, and books to sell.
Learning Skills takes time and practice if Sims want to max them out. While certain emotions, lot traits, or potions can boost their Skill progression, it can still take several days of nonstop work to increase Skills. Luckily, players have a complete set of cheats dedicated to setting their Skill level.
Skills are put into a few categories: Major, Minor, Child, and Toddler. Major and Minor Skills can be learned by Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders. Once Children max out their Child Skills, they gain access to certain Major and Minor ones.
Major Skills have ten levels, and Minor and Toddler Skills have five, except for the Potty Skill, which maxes out at level 3. Doing activities and using objects related to the Skills will build them up, but players don't have to grind it out if they don't want to with cheats.
Most of the Skill cheat codes follow a formula of stats.set_skill_level (Skill Type)_(Skill Name) X, with X being the desired level, but there are some variations. See below for a complete list of all the Skill cheat codes in Sims 4:

Using cheats in The Sims 4 might spoil some of the fun of having to build up to having a best friend relationship or scrimping and saving for that dream home, but it also allows you to be as creative as you like without having to worry about the consequences. Especially when it comes to building with no regulations.
Not only is it useful for experimenting and letting off some steam, but cheating in The Sims 4 cheats also allows you to stop Sims and objects from becoming stuck or trapped, so there's a practical use to them, too.
While the PC and Mac versions of the Sims 4 accept all the cheats listed in this guide, on console, not all the codes will work. In addition to this, by using cheats on a console, you will disable Achievements and Trophies for that save, so be careful.
It is also important to note, many cheats require you to enter testingcheats true beforehand. Doing so will reveal the command 'Cheats are enabled', which signifies this is active. Not all Sims 4 cheats need this enabled, but since so many do, it's worth getting into the habit of setting it active at the start of any sessions so you aren't caught out.
To enter cheats on PC, press Ctrl + Shift + C together to bring up the Cheat Console and enter the cheat of your choice, press the Enter Key, and the Sims 4 cheat will come into effect.
To enter cheats on Mac, press Command + Shif + C together to bring up the Cheat Console and enter the cheat of your choice, press the Enter Key, and the Sims 4 cheat will come into effect.
As well as instant effect The Sims 4 cheat codes like the above, it's possible to enter a 'testing' mode that allows you to hold down the Shift key and click on Sims and objects to change their states.

With these cheat codes, players are able to transform into these occult Sims, as well as remove them. This section focuses on vampires and werewolves, but it also works for both Alien and Mermaid Sims, as well.

Hi! What's up? If you are on a PC or MacBook, you can either repair the cheat after resetting your game if no cheats are working, or you can shift-click your sim, and then a Command Center will pop up and if you look through the menu, you should find it.
It's fair to say, though, that with so many expansions, there are a lot of cheat codes. We've separated all the cheats into relevant categories and have jump links to help you get to where you need to go quickly.
To use Sims 4 cheat codes, you first need to enable cheats in the game itself. Be warned, though: enabling cheats will mean that achievements or trophies are turned off in this particular save.
On Xbox One, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you can access the cheat menu by pressing and holding LT + RT + LB + RB for a couple of seconds. This will bring up the cheat menu, in which you need to type testingCheats true to enable cheats in this save.
The only exceptions to this system are the Interaction Cheats, which are activated in a slightly different way. You still need to be in a world with testingCheats true activated, but then you need to follow the steps below (depending on your platform of choice).
To use The Sims 4 Interaction Cheats on PS4 or PS5, with testingCheats true already activated, hover the cursor over a Sim or an object, hold down Circle and then press X to bring up the Interaction Cheats menu.
Or on PC, after activating testingCheats true, hold shift and then click on the Sim/item in question - this will make the Interaction Cheats menu appear, and you can choose from a variety of cheats that it will list for you. All the other cheats in the game can just be typed into the cheat console as we discussed before. For the full list of what you can do, read on!
