Reviving the Islamic Spirit Knowledge Retreat is an annual program held around the RIS Convention to give seekers of knowledge an opportunity to study traditional Islamic sciences, in a contemporary context, with some of the leading scholars of our time.

Knowledge is the greatest gift a believer can share. RIS Knowledge Retreat attempts to give seekers of knowledge an opportunity to study traditional Islamic sciences, in a contemporary context, with some of the leading scholars of our time.

It is a unique program that delivers a holistic program experience for all participants, students and teachers alike, where each return back to their home with a renewed sense of purpose and a quench for knowledge with ihsaan. It is through such gatherings that students are introduced to the depth and breadth of Islamic scholarship. Rarely do Muslims living in the west get such opportunities and hence RIS KR strives to provide a conducive environment for students to pursue their quest for knowledge and enlightenment by studying the traditional sciences preserved through a chain of transmission handed to us through great scholars of the past.

This year the program will be taking place from Dec 23-28 at Hilton Downtown Hotel. Teachers include Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi, Dr. Abdal Hakim Murad, Imam Zaid Shakir, Shaykh Sulaiman Mulla, Ustadh Yahya Rhodus, and Shaykh Faraz Khan. It will also feature a special session by Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr.
