What is a good cheap older tractor I should look for to run a small
tiller of about 40 inches and maybe a 6 foot or so buch hog? Somehting
easy to work on too.

Search here for what may be available. Consider diesel or gasoline and equipment that matches the width of your tractor is important in some cases.

Can you tell us a little more about your situation? Number of acres and work needed, etc.

5 acres of pasture right now. I have a small tiller that my dad went
half on. (He owns the tractor).

Mostly want to bushog the 5 acres and use the tiller to till for a
large garden.

I would look for a diesel in the 30-40 horsepower range 2 wheel drive
if there are no deep wet spots. What is your nearest dealer for
maintenance parts? You will need various things such as filters and
small parts that break over the years. You will need a way to hold the
tiller to one side to avoid leaving tire tracks. What is the nearest
city?

List of farm resources. You can locate dealers from most manufacturer
pages now days by zip code. Try Ford, Massey, John Deere, or other
tractor for which you have local help. Shipping gets more expensive
than small parts many times.
