My pc is about mid end and can run games like Rdr 2 with no problem and yes I do use the auto installer that's on on gtaall.com and heres a link to the skin selector version i use -san-andreas/cleo/4876-skin-selector-v21.html .I actually found a sort of fix by playing the mission and the missions up to it without changing my character than while at the haircut place cutting CJ's hair than changing it back to the default style before I left than after completing the mission I created 2 save files one where I save as CJ and one as my changed character and interestingly enough the save file where I am my changed character is the one that now works but the CJ one had the same issues as before. I also installed silent patch before I started these new save files , i don't think it had any effect but its worth mentioning just in case .
the most optimality with the standard skin selector is just to delete the cs1.sav file in the cleo_saves folder through cleo, though in case not many were aware, there's a skin selector provided with modloader support that was released on gtainside.com by Ryosuke839 that has 3 different versions of the mod (n, o, c)
the version i used before was o, i would have a selected skin and i would save my game with the skin and when i would load back onto the save, the skin is automatically there, here's the download link: -skin-selector-modloader-support/
and to note, as far as my personal experience goes, i havent had any crashes and the skin always remained there, mainly because i was using it during my playthrough of left 4 theft, there still may be some issues within singleplayer but there may not be, it's all up to the testing
Skin Selector v2.1 mod for changing CJ's skin to:
- any other peds (ordinary citizen);
- special heroes, such as: Ryder, Big Smoke, Officer Tenpenny, etc.
- skins loaded into the game (the RENKO skin comes with the mod).
If you want to install a new skin (skin must be *.txd and *.dff), then:
- add new skins using IMG Tool 2.0 or IMG Manager 2.0 in /CLEO/skin.img - this is a manual installation;
- or download skins with automatic installation for Skin Selector v2.1 from our site.
Also, the mod allows you to spawn next to any of the above characters. There are two types of spawns:
- normal, i.e. the character simply appears next to the player;
- defender, i.e. the character begins to protect CJ.
Also in mod is a selection of clothes from all the shops of San Andreas. Thus, you can easily dress up CJ in the latest fashion anywhere in the game.
Control:
- to change the character to a new skin loaded into the game, press "Tab" and do not release the mouse wheel (or press "Q" or "E" (buttons to change weapons) without releasing "Tab") - the whole character has changed;
- in order to get into the character selection menu, you must simultaneously and without releasing press "Tab"+"E"+"Q" (or instead of the "Q" button, simply turn the mouse wheel away from you);
- exit from this menu "F" or "Enter".

I installed cleo 4 and got the skin selector mod, but whenever i use the mod my game crashes. I reinstalled the game but nothing happened. It was same problem. I wanted to play as S.W.A.T but crashes made me irritated. Please . . Is there any way to fix this?
I haven't added any skin to the skin.img. Not even a single one. I just tried to get normal peds skin . When i press Tab + E + Q the menu appears. After that, pressing LMB(to select normal peds) makes the game crash . And how do you see those lines or whatever, in the gta.dat?
Well it works for me, I can use and play with it selecting skins, I recommend that it is important to have the original sa (without mods) before testing the skin selector, so then you can confirm if the mod is bugged or not. By myself I noticed that the skin selectors v2 (and others) works, but it is NOT viable!, I think it is better to just use it for fun. I have tested many times, it works even with missions, changing clothes, hairstyles, changing stats, without problems in this cases. But anyway unfortunately, this sometimes crashes the game while selecting the skins and it will certainly crashes your game if you spawn peds (even if you have open limit adjuster installed). I tried to open the script file to try to fix it but I could NOT open it.
Hi, I have a problem with GTA SA mod menu of skins with modloader support, same goes for the one without modloader support, I have the problem that if I press the messages the view of the mod let's say the fa but the mod menu is not seen and I don't understand how I can solve it
I cant seem to find any tutorials that are up to date or have working links, each tutorial seems to have broken links to the download of the mod, so I downloaded it manually, (skin selector v2.1) and got a few files, however each tutorial I watch they all have different files and do different things with them. I have cleo, but ive tried so many different downloads and also found one where you have to change IMG CLEO\skin.img within gta.dat but it comes up i have no permission to save it. I really need help on how to install and a working download link
so as the title says i can't download skins, ive already downloaded the CLEO mod, i have both of the gta3 files (gta3.img + gta3.txt) and the GTA img tool + the TXD tools apps, i literally tried everything, even the x-plore app, but the skins i downloaded don't appear in cleo's skin selector, i tried the method of replacing the dff. files of the original characters from the game for the ones of the skins i downloaded in IMG nd applying the texture in TXD tool but everytime i open the gta sa app they just appear as the in-game skins, does anyone knows how to fix this?? :((

This game is based on the television series Supernatural. It has Dean, Sammy, Cass, and Bobby in it.
