Pedicle road Mufulira to Mansa

Good evening 

We are planning to drive around Zambia on June. 

Does anyone have recent experience of using the pedicle road - it would really shorten our trip. Our Zambian friends do not recommend it because 'they give us a lot of problems'.

Any tips?

Never drove it.

And I haven't heard of anyone that does.

Everyone goes around.

Gotta be a reason for it ;)
