We are planning to transit the NLNP from the Mano Gate to Ituba Camp in very early June 2026.    This will entail using the Pontoon across the Luangwa River.   I appreciate that the Wet Season will dictate things,  but in the normal of course of events does the Pontoon start to operate 1^st June ? 

If the Pontoon at Ituba is not operating due to the wet season,  there is an alternate route to turn off the T2 at Matumbo, head east toward Sikalinga / Chama on the D103, then at Chama, head southwest-ish toward Chifunda on the D105.     Is this route viable as an option to get to NLNP / Ituba Camp ?

Unfortunately we do not have that functionality built into the Trip Planner yet, sorry!

You already have the POIs saved for the trip - so creating the alternative routes should not take too long? I always mark the alternative trip in a different colour too so it shows nicely on the map.
