Routes appeared as Tracks and not Routes on my 276CX

I created a trip using T4A's online route planner

I then exported it as a gpx file, imported into BaseCamp and then transferred to my Garmin.276CX. 

On my 276, the routes appeared as Tracks and not Routes

Why not as Routes?

Hi Tim,  

At the moment the Trip planner only exports routes as tracks not as routes. That is to ensure that when you load the trip onto your gps, the route created will take the exact same path as you planned on the trip planner, i.e. the gps wont recalculate the route and maybe follow a different path.

We continue to work on the trip planner and have some improvements in the pipeline in the near(ish) future!

Is there a way to get the 276CX to voice prompt when using tracks?

Hi Tim,

I believe that you need the Montana cradle/bracket to mount it in, to get the voice prompts.
