Kgalagadi / August

Dear Tracks4Africa Team,

We are a group of seven people traveling with three vehicles from Matopi in the Kgalagadi to the South African side. Unfortunately, we have been unable to secure accommodation on the South African side for the dates of 11-12 August 2026. Someone suggested the Two Rivers camp on the Botswana side, which falls under the Boravast Community. Could anyone provide contact information for this camp?

suggest you either use an agent like Botswana Footprints as this will be easier. Or just show up. Two Rivers is quite a large campsite and you will always find space. Bear in mind it is quite run down - last year there was no water available.

Hi Laetitia 

Instead of relying on a lot of red tape, bad info, bad comms why don't book a campsite at the Kgalagadi Lodge. 

5 minutes from the TR gate and the bonus is that the dust from the early morning rush hour traffic will have settled down by then.

Proper hot showers, a small restaurant and shop if you do not feel like cooking .. the campsites are great.

Have a look at there website.
