We want to visit Etosha from Cape Town with a 3-year-old toddler. We are 4 adults. We want to be there for 3 or 4 nights. Maybe you will convince us to stay longer.
I need the latest info please:
1. There was a serious drought and fire last year. Is it worth going there already?
2. Is Windhoek the closest place to fly from Cape Town?
3. Where do you advise: should we enter and book accommodation? We want to be where there are animals. Maybe close to water.
4 Is winter time (maybe August) the best time to go there?
Or is there a cheaper bushveld overnight option to take a toddler to the big 5 where there is no malaria?
Thanks for your advice.
