Let me begin by complimenting T4A on the web mapping they are developing.
It is already a great tool, that will only improve.

The app allows the creation of Routes.

I think I understand the difference between Routes and Tracks!
I do know that Tracks should be used on Garmin devices

So how do I export a route that I have created on the app, and import on my Garmin device as a Track?

So that I navigate on the roads that I want too, and not what Garmin thinks I should use.

Thanks

Morning Tim,

At the top of your planned trip, there is a little button (yellow arrow) you can use to export the entire trip as a gpx or kml file. You could also click on the three dots next to each individual route, and export just one route.

This you can save as a gpx file on your computer - when you open it in Basecamp, you will see that the routes you planned are now actual tracks and no longer planned routes. You can now use Basecamp to transfer these tracks to your device - note that only the off-road devices (Montana/Etrax/Zumo/276) will be able to see the tracks on the screen, city navigators do not have the function of showing tracks. But you can still load your POIs you plan to use on a city navigator.

If you no longer use Basecamp, you can copy the GPX file to an SD card and insert that into the device and you should find your routes (now tracks) under either favourites or track manager or similar - the paths differ between devices.

Regards/Groete

Lizette
