hey all,
sorry if you're getting this twice and please forward to anyone who you notice didnt get it...
i'm actually planning on running a practice dipsea on thursday. it's a very good workout (676 stairs, then a 1300ft climb over 2 miles). i dont want to break up the group, but if anyone wants to join, they are more than welcome. i can drive people over to marin. if anyone is interested, please let me know and we can plan rides, as we'll probably have to drop a car at stinson if there are more than a couple of folks, or i can work on getting us rides back... but that's all TBD.
anyways, good luck to all those racing tomorrow! kick some butt.

Hey everyone. I believe the track is going to be closed next Thursday during our workout since the Pac-10 meet will be in full swing at Cal. We were able to sneak on there yesterday although it was technically closed so the multi-event athletes could do their workout. Next week it will definitely be much more crowded and I don't think Cal would appreciate our working out there, However we can meet at the entrance of the track and plan to go up the namesake Fire Trail at a reasonable clip. That might suit Alex Varner too. I also might not be in attendance, as I may have to pick up James Kipketer at the airport. I can keep you posted on that later, but wanted to get the word out ahead of time.
Secondly, I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to host James Kipketer for any portion of his stay from May 13-June 1st. He is running the Bay to Breakers and training, then taking a run at the course record at the Marin 10K (28:45). Tamalpa Runners has already stepped up and comped him some gear as well as paid for his flight out here. They'll also help with the hosting. Of course, I realize they are from a much higher economic bracket and Mark McManus sort of spear-headed this effort which came together quite quickly and here we are. James will probably do a good number of his runs in Marin with his hosts, however if we can host him he would love to run with our fast guys and do the workouts too.
