Hi,

I commented on a Trac ticket a couple of years ago and I'm still getting updates via email, which I'm no longer interested in. Is there a way to unsubscribe from email updates for a specific ticket? I suppose I could filter out all Trac email but I'd prefer to unsubscribe to specific tickets instead.

I looked for unsubscription instructions in the email message itself (both in the body and the headers) and also scanned through the Trac user documentation. http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracNotification addressed some topics related to email notifications, but doesn't seem to cover how to unsubscribe. I wasn't able to find any other relevant documentation. Maybe someone can give me a hand here.

best,

To remove yourself from a Cc list:
 1. Navigate here and set your email: http://trac.edgewall.org/prefs
 2. Navigate to the ticket and you'll find a //Remove from Cc// with a checkbox next to your email address in the //Modify Ticket// section.

Hmm, I am logged in and looking at the ticket (http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/7660) and I see the "Modify Ticket" but my email address is not listed in the Cc: section, and I don't see any other place to remove my email address. (I guess email updates are being sent to me because I commented on the ticket.) I looked at my preferences and my email address is set. Is there something else I can try?

Thanks for your help,

I assumed you were referring to a ticket in trac.edgewall.org. I don't know the particulars of how Sage has configured their Trac instance. You are best off contacting them directly, but I can give some hints.

I don't see you listed on the list of users, so I assume you don't have an account on the site:

If that's the case, then it appears that you've entered "rober_dodier <robert@...> and the Sage site is probably using [notification] always_notify_updater = True. An Admin will probably need to edit the database to remove your email address.

Actually, I do have an account, and I was logged in when I
was looking at the ticket. Does that change things?

It may be sufficient to just log in and remove your email in preferences. If for some reason that doesn't work, an admin for the site may be able to help you, or even just delete your account.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I was hoping for a solution which
only removes the notifications for a specific ticket -- I'd still like
to get updates for other tickets. I'll keep looking and if I
figure it out, I'll post a solution.

best,
