Making a field Mandatory

I have the following in my trac.ini under a section called [ticket-custom]

due_date = time
due_date.date = enabled
due_date.date_empty = disabled
due_date.format = date
due_date.label = Due Date
due_date.order = 2

I would like to make it mandatory so that it must be filled.

I tried to look at old tickets instead of opening this one, and could not figure it out.
