Hi all,
I installed trac a few weeks ago. Now I wonder if Wysisyg plugin from here is still working with current trac version. Or is there a better alternative to make wiki editing easier for people without knowing the wiki formating characters.
From what I read so far https://trac-hacks.org/wiki/CkEditorPlugin looks even more comfortable. But it seems to be not so stable or better said not really finished. True?
Anyway, hope someone shares his experience here. Thanks.

Hello.
I looked into the plugin you mentioned, but since its last update was 14 years ago, it appears to be non-functional.

You might consider exploring other WYSIWYG editors. Alternatively, if you have programming skills, you could download the mentioned plugin and modify it for your use.

Thank you.

I'm the author of https://trac-hacks.org/wiki/TracWysiwygPlugin. The
plugin supports Trac 1.6. Are you saying that you encounter issues
with the plugin on Trac 1.6 and the plugin doesn't work?

You can see which versions of Trac a plugin on trac-hacks.org supports
by the tags on the plugin's wiki page. Also, plugins that support Trac
1.6 are listed at https://trac-hacks.org/wiki/1.6 .

Thanks for the infos. And sorry I missed the link to https://trac-hacks.org/wiki/TracWysiwygPlugin in my first post.

So think my first thoughts are right,  TracWysiwygPlugin will work with trac 1.6, while  CkEditorPlugin isn't really finished and not a good choice this days.

I'll install TracWysiwygPlugin and test how it works. Thanks.
