How can I configure Trac to work with an SVN repository that resides on another server. Is this supported now?

To my knowledge, this is not implemented. Trac needs file system
access to the repository. Maybe an NFS/sshfs is an option for you?

I succeeded doing the following:

- Create the required hooks in the svn-repo on the other server.

- They call a script on your trac-server via ssh (trusted connection)

- This script updates first an svn-repo-mirror (http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.ref.svnsync.html) on your trac-server, then informs trac about the changes

- Trac points to the mirror repo on the trac-server

 

The bad point of this solution is, that you need the svn mirror repo and waste space. But it works like a charm.
