Hi,

I am trying to get Trac into an organization, and will be demoing it
along with other components that play nice with Trac. This
organization has several departments, one of which uses SharePoint to
maintain a list of ticket-like items. These users aren't developer/
code savvy, so would probably not be interested in Trac the way the
developer teams would.

Is it possible to call into the Trac API in order to create a ticker
from a different system? I would like to have a SharePoint list item
event cause a corresponding ticket to automatically be created in
Trac, without these users having to go into Trac to create the
ticket.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks!

Look at the XmlRpcPlugin on trac-hacks.

I did see that but it appeared to only pull a list of tickets... maybe I missed something.

The OOTB way to do it is to use Trac Rpc plugin . The (perfect?)
solution is (probably) to implement a MOSS BDC so as to integrate Trac
as an external (enterprise) system , but I don't know of anything
already implemented to do this :(
