[th-users] User macros in tickets cc field?

Hi,

I'm a new trac user and am *loving* it for managing my team of 15. I'm wondering if y'all could help me understand the status of a feature which enables groups of users "team" to be cc'd on tickets. I'd like to be able to create a ticket where "all users" are cc'd or to cc teams. 

I've found this ticket, but it doesn't help elucidate the situation:

I've also found this plugin which enables me to generate teams but I don't think it works in tickets:

Please let me know if you have any thoughts on the status of this feature or if you would like to collaborate on developing it. I can dedicate some staff time to it if someone out there has the expertise to point us in the right direction.

I'll assume you are on a 1.0.x version of Trac, which is the current stable release line. AnnouncerPlugin has the functionality that you are requesting, but the plugin is not being maintained and has many issues:

For Trac 1.2, which will be released by the end of the year, the core functionality of AccountManagerPlugin has been added to Trac. That core functionality does not include the "Groups" feature. The "Groups" functionality could be added to Trac, but some development effort would be need. Let me know if you are interested in exploring this.
