The June 2026 release of TR4W is now available.
Please note among the many changes is a new TRMASTER.DTA process where the SCP now included the FOC, CWOPS lists as well as the full SuperCheckPartial database.
Read all the way back to May 2026 as that is everything in this new release since May 2026.
A quick summary is as follows:
New Features
- Added X-QSO support — mark a QSO to stay in the log for NIL protection without counting toward your score; works across Cabrillo, ADIF, and all 11 languages.
- Column widths in the log view now save and restore correctly after auto-fit.
- Added native Kenwood TS-890S support over both serial and LAN, including RIT/XIT, CW keying, memory keyer, and split.
- Added HamScore real-time scoring (v3.0 specification)— contacts upload every 2 minutes during a contest with a status window and manual push option
- Added the RTC (Real-Time Contest) with distance-based scoring and Maidenhead grid exchange.
- Added option to skip the “Difference in logs” dialog on multi-op reconnect (SERVER AUTO SYNCHRONIZE LOG ON CONNECT).
- Added a 3830 Score report generator under File → Reports.
- Added Tools → Edit Cabrillo Summary menu item so you can edit contest metadata at any time.
- Installer no longer UPX-compressed by default, reducing false-positive antivirus detections but EXE is a but bigger now.
- Spanish language fully supported including translated command help
- Updated bundled callsign database (TRMASTER.DTA) for better Super Check Partial suggestions.
- Parallel-port (LPT) keying: inpout32.dll removed from the installer (it was triggering antivirus false positives) — LPT users now supply it themselves from highrez.co.uk; TR4W shows a reminder if it’s missing rather than failing to start
Fixes
- Fixed ADIF import so CQ zone is preserved correctly and records without a mode are no longer misclassified as CW
- Improved State QSO Party support: rover calls (e.g. KG1S/MON) are preserved in the log, county-line QSOs score correctly, and country lookup no longer misidentifies rover suffixes
- Fixed ADIF export for Field Day and Sweepstakes — bogus RST values and malformed serial number fields no longer appear
- K4 network connection now stays alive during idle periods via a keepalive ping
- Fixed WARC band MHz labels in UDP broadcasts so external scoring tools no longer drop 30m/17m/12m QSOs
- Icom network radios now detect a lost connection within ~3 seconds and auto-reconnect when the radio comes back
- Bandmap no longer goes blank at startup when a second radio is configured
- Multi-op server disconnects no longer block the call window — now shows a status toast and auto-reconnects silently
- Fixed CONTEST_ID missing from ADIF exports for 156 contests including CQ-WW, CQ-WPX, and ARRL-DX
- Serial numbers now only move forward — X-QSO’ing or deleting a contact no longer causes the same number to be reused
- X-QSO’d contacts now remain in external logs (e.g. DXKeeper) and are only removed from contest scoring
- Fixed typo in QSO Number pop-up (“QSO nuber” → “QSO number”)
