Dear friends, Dharmesh Rajak is a dhobi at NIT durgapur, he is one of
the tendered washerman that is responsible for the LH his wife Pinky
Rajak delivers the clothes there, he is a cousin of Sashi.
Dharmesh was diagnosed with Testicular cancer and has undergone a
surgery to have it removed, after the surgery he underwent 3 rounds
of
Chemotherapy, in the last round of chemotherapy he had a reaction to
the medicines leading to respiratory distress. The symptoms for this
were mistaken by friends and family as simply shortness of breath
due
to the cold. He came back to the Tata Medical Center Kolkata on
Friday
for a secondary minor surgery to remove what the doctor described to
me as a nodule. During the pre surgery prep. The doctor noticed that
Dharmesh was having shortness of breath "puffing" and "gasping" even
when at rest, he was admitted to the ICU immediately and is
currently
on ventilator support.
The doctors have had him on observation for 72 hours now and have
said
that there are slight improvements in the condition.
The doctors are also suggesting a further observation for 6-7 days
with an approximate expenditure of 15000 per day.
The bill stood at approximately 44,000 today for a period of 3 days.
Dharmesh and his family will not be able to afford these expenses and
thus i wanted to know if we would be able to start a collection on
his
behalf and provide some much needed relife to him and his family.
At the end i would just like to bring to attention one point, the
doctors are hopeful as he is only 35 years of age but there is no
guarantee that Dharmesh will survive.
All those in kolkata please call me at 9674970148.
