Greetings from NIT DURGAPUR !

 

I take this opportunity to request you to visit our campus for 2009 batch for campus recruitment.

 

It may not be out of place to mention here that our institute is rated as number 3 amongst the 20 NITs according to the latest TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) rankings of MHRD, Govt. of India.

 

Like previous year this year also, we have put into effect 'THE DREAM JOB' concept which would enable renowned conglomerates such as your organisation to hire the brightest of our students. Our institute has been already visited by "NAVARATNA" companies like - IOCL, NTPC, HAL, HPCL and others like TELCON, ABB etc along with other software majors like MICROSOFT, IBM, TCS, CISCO and TEJAS NETWORK etc.

 

It may be also one of place to mention here that 4 of our students have been selected for OPJEMS  Scholarship ( Rs. 65,000, one gold medal and one certificate per student) offered by Jindal Group of Industries.

Also one of our student has received Sun  Ambassador Award. This year Google has committed to us regarding campus placements, which we are very proud of.

 

Our college students share a special synergy with Novell, which you may not be aware of. openSUSE is the most widely used Linux distribution in our institution. We have a local repository which hosts the latest versions of your acclaimed distribution. Also this year, around 15 students from 2nd year and 3rd year are participating in the Novell opensource Internship Program (NOSIP). Hence we have many students highly interested in joining your organisation of repute and you arrival will be greeted with great enthusiasm.
