The Texas Parents of Blind Children (TPOBC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit parents’ group.  We are a division of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas (NFBT) and of the National Organization of Parents of Blind Children and we are dedicated to promoting opportunities for blind children in Texas.

Our 4th Annual 5K Walk/Run will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Tom Bass Park. The 5K benefits the TPOBC, Texas Parents of Blind Children, which provides children vital support, encouragement, and promotes blindness skills, fostering self-esteem, and utilizing blind adult role models to build a solid foundation for a productive life with maximum independence.

We encourage you to be a part of this amazing run as your participation and donations will help us raise money to start new programs and to pay the bills to run our group, such as our website, newsletter, displays, information, referrals, alerts, advocacy meetings, teacher trainings, parent seminars, speakers, social events for families, and brochures.

It is our sincere belief that our kids can do anything and that by joining together; we can make a difference in the future of all blind children!
