TPOBC would like to invite you to attend our 1st annual Galveston Island Beachcombing Event for blind and low vision children and their families.
Please join us while we learn about our beautiful sandy beaches and what lies on, in, and under the sand and water.
This event will be presented by Kat Pollock, Islander and Avid Beachcomber

Morning
Session: 9:00am to 11:30am
Beachcombing,
Seining (Net Fishing), Building Sand Castles, Tactile Exhibit
Lunch:
11:30am to 12:30pm
Hot
dogs, chips, and water will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own
picnic lunch.
Afternoon
Session: 12:30pm to 3:00pm
Birdwatching
(Audible Hike), Fishing (Bring your own pole), Crabbing, Nature Hike
Don’t

Water
Shoes, Shirt and Hat for Sun Protection, Sunscreen, Towels, Beach Chairs, Fishing
Poles (Free fishing in state park), Sunglasses, Shade Shelters or Beach
