The Texas
Education Agency (TEA) has made available an online survey to solicit feedback
on its draft corrective action plan for special education. The online survey, which is available on the
TEA website (https://tea.texas.gov/TexasSPED), is open
to anyone wishing to provide input on the draft plan.
The online survey is one part of TEA’s ongoing outreach effort to
hear from special education students, families, educators, advocacy groups,
district and school officials, and all others seeking to provide input on the
plan. To fully understand and effectively respond to the questions in the survey,
participants are encouraged to first read TEA’s proposed corrective action plan,
which is available at https://tea.texas.gov/TexasSPED.
TEA
will be accepting an initial round of public comments on the draft plan through
Feb. 18. A revised draft plan will be available on or around March 1.
Additional public comment will be accepted through March 31
The Social Security
Administration (SSA) is seeking public input on strategies for improving the
adult economic outcomes of youth ages 14 to 25 with disabilities receiving SSI.
The input received will be considered in SSA's deliberations about potential
policy changes and the design of future demonstration projects for
transition-age SSI recipients.
The SSA asks
respondents to address any or all of the 12 questions found in the Federal Register Notice that relate to your
expertise or perspectives. Comments must be received by February 2,
2018.
