Greetings from NEAT Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education!!


The outbreak of COVID pandemic in India has caused extreme distress to the students and is a setback to academic activity. In order to foster digital learning and support the student community across the country, Enhancement in Learning with Improvement In Skills (ELIS) portal ( http://free.aicte-india.org/ ) has been designed by AICTE NEAT Cell.

NEAT Cell had a series of discussions with many Ed-tech companies to offer advanced e-learning content for free of cost. Fortunately, many companies have come forward and offered their e-learning contents FREE OF COST to learners. Courses in the range of Rs. 200 to Rs.50000 offered as FREE OF COST to all the Indian higher education students.

NEAT cell able to offer Rs. 242 Crore worth Free Digital E-learning courses to 13.9 lakh higher education students in which 2.3 Lakhs students already finished the courses and certified.

In continuation with this journey, Now Microsoft and AICTE collaborate to provide skilling, upskilling and reskilling to students and faculty in emerging technologies such as AI, Data Science to build new technologies, Microsoft also provides 25 free Azure services and $100 Azure credit to each student

As part of this partnership, over 1526 course modules (900 unique course modules) from Microsoft will be made available to students and faculty free of cost through AICTE’s free e-learning portal, ELIS. Microsoft’s learning resource centre, Microsoft Learn has been integrated with the ELIS platform to provide access to personalized learning paths and resources for students, covering a broad range of technologies including AI, IOT, data science and cloud computing among others.
