Help with writing some text

Hello,

At the minute I am working on TPF's participation in the Outreach
Program for Women. I need help with writing text.

Every organisation that is participating will have to provide a couple
of sentences about their project for the list of participating orgs on
the GNOME wiki. This is the page that was used for the last round of
this program:

It would be great if someone could write me a couple of sentences to
describe Perl and TPF. I am finding this difficult because Perl is
vast and most of the other things listed are focusing on one specific
thing, for example:

Mozilla creates software that promotes the goals of the Open Web. The
available project is for creating a metrics dashboard that tracks the
rapid release process.

We don't have one project in particular - we are happy to have an
intern that is working on any aspect of Perl and on any project where
we can find a mentor for them to work with.

Any ideas for text?
