So I need a starting plan and some ideas. I personally want to use as much of this money to start moving out of the standard areas. We can consider using Google, Facebook and traditional magazine advertising - we need to ensure there is a message going to other conferences by finding people who are attending them and getting them to take leaflets/stickers etc.
Is there any room for asking people to use those free vouchers from Google for linking to Perl resources until they are used up?
I look forward to hearing the suggestions. The budget is minimal at the moment, but I am sure if we get a really great idea that there is room for negotiation inside the org.
