if u have ubuntu installed and want to make its GUI attractive,i have
some suggestions for it
at first install 'art manager'.
u will get it in graphics option of add or remove software.
it downloads themes,icon packs,login screen,window border etc.from internet.
download and install it .

and the another is compiz fusion.
it add a lot of animations in the behaviour of ur gui.
u can choose and coustomise the animations through it.
u can get compiz at the same place.

certailnly u will get a different and impressive look.
