My mom recently bought a toy piano from a garage sale. It is in very
good condition, and I've never heard a toy piano that was this well
tuned. It has a sticker with the word "Kawai" on it, where the brand
name should be. I'm trying to figure out if the piano was actually
made by Kawai, or if someone just put a sticker with the name on it.
Does anyone know if Kawai ever made toy pianos? ~Winde

Hi, Winde,
Well i have what must be the same Kawai (pink), and, yes it is tuned
well, and i like the xylophone-esque sound of it. I have a feeling it
might actually work differently than the common toy-piano, this one
being more like an ancutal xylophone, as opposed to the metal bars
that are struck in the standard type.
It says on the bottom, made in Japan, and by Kawai. also this pink
piano is has a curvy grand-piano shape (it is not an upright piano).
The reason i am bothering about this instrument is because i think it
has a wonderful acousitc warmpth of tone, and at the moment i am doing
a great "Mr. Sandman" on it, as well as "Close to You', the old Sarah
Vaughan song.
Let me know if this is the same toy piano.
